Agony Aunt Dear Abby

October 9, 2007 - 11:24 am - Posted by Mr BBI

Dear Abby: A couple of women moved in across the hall from me. One is a middle-aged gym teacher and the other is a social worker in her mid-twenties. These two women go everywhere together and I’ve never seen a man go into or leave their apartment. Do you think they could be Lebanese?

Are The UK Government Spying On You?

October 2, 2007 - 5:22 pm - Posted by Mr BBI

If you live in the UK or you are there visiting, every telephone call you make or receive, either with a landline or mobile, will be logged and stored for a year. This information is available to 652 public departments of the UK Government.

And you won’t escape these Big Brother tactics either if you are sending and receiving text messages (sms) as they are all being logged too.

652 Public Bodies in the UK can and do have access to all telephone calls and text messages (sms) records under the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2000, the new law was signed off by Home Secretary Jacqui Smith in July.
