Funny: Carry On Baggage

January 6, 2008 - 3:15 pm - Posted by Mr BBI

Why do people carry so much junk onboard a plane with them? Even on a long haul flight there is no need to take so much carry on baggage.

All you need are the basics: drinks - water, coke etc. A couple of small snacks. One or two books or magazines. And at a push your laptop but that’s it!!!

It never works that way though, endless people with HUGE bags full of goodness knows what, taped up boxes that are never going to squeeze into the overhead cabins and ’small’ luggage bags with handles and wheels. To me if it needs handles and wheels it’s heavy and therefore should go in the hold. Read the rest of this entry »

Simple Ways to Be Romantic

January 6, 2008 - 3:01 pm - Posted by Mr BBI

Write “I love you” in the steam on the bathroom mirror after your other half takes a shower.

Surprise them at work and take her out to lunch, maybe take-out food in the park or maybe to a little diner, for a midday romantic interlude.

Mail a card and inside write down the top 10 things you love about your partner.

When your partner least expects it, give them a great big kiss, even if it’s in public!

Cook a special love meal of your partner’s favorite foods.

Photos: Saddams Luxury Yacht

January 3, 2008 - 1:59 pm - Posted by Mr BBI

Here are five pictures of former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein’s luxury yacht. As you can see there was no expense spared in fitting out this floating palace. The decor features gold, silver, and marble. Arabesque arches, fountains, gold-tap bathrooms, whirl pools, steam rooms, table and silverware for 200, a medi-clinic with surgical suite.

It also boasts bulletproof glass, cctv, a helipad, 14 cabins for 28 passengers, bunk space for 35 crew members, and not forgetting the secret passage that runs the length of the boat for easy access to a fast patrol boat and mini-submarine pod for emergency exits.

The 269-foot “Qaddisat Saddam” was built in 1981 and has recently surfaced in the South of France under a new name - “Ocean Breeze” - with for For Sale sign attached and a price tag in the region of £17m.

Are The UK Government Spying On You?

October 2, 2007 - 5:22 pm - Posted by Mr BBI

If you live in the UK or you are there visiting, every telephone call you make or receive, either with a landline or mobile, will be logged and stored for a year. This information is available to 652 public departments of the UK Government.

And you won’t escape these Big Brother tactics either if you are sending and receiving text messages (sms) as they are all being logged too.

652 Public Bodies in the UK can and do have access to all telephone calls and text messages (sms) records under the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2000, the new law was signed off by Home Secretary Jacqui Smith in July.

Is This Madeleine McCann?

September 26, 2007 - 3:15 pm - Posted by Mr BBI

UPDATED

Police are trying to determine whether a photo taken in late August by a Spanish tourist in northern Morocco shows missing British toddler Madeleine McCann being carried by an unidentified woman by the side of a road.

Is This Madeleine McCann

The picture was taken by Clara Torres on August 31 - four months after four-year-old Madeleine went missing.

It is the most recent, but not the first possible sighting, of Madeleine in Morocco.

On May 9, two witnesses - unknown to each other - told police they saw a little girl who looked like Maddie in Marrakech, in the south of the country. There was one other reported sighting in the north, close to the town where Torres took her photo on August 31.

UPDATED

Evening Standard journalist Rashid Razaq, who flew to Morocco from London, said he saw the youngster today. It quickly emerged that the girl in the photograph is believed by villagers to be five-year-old Bushra Binhisa, the daughter of an olive farmer.
